Wanting to join the Toowoomba Lapidary Club?
Currently, we are updating the process on how we accept new members. Because of this, our Club is not accepting new members until after Gemfest (i.e., late October). We are going to follow a process which a number of other recreational clubs has put in place. This short period of time prior to completing an Application for Membership form is being called a ‘Prerequisite for Membership’, and will be outlined here shortly.

Cutting rocks and gemstones for the public
Quite often, members of the public ask for someone in the Toowoomba Lapidary Club to cut their rock, or cut gemstones they have found or were found by family members. Due to the overwhelming number of requests, most members of the club are no longer available to undertake this activity.
While WE might not cut your stone for you, the other option is for YOU to become a member of the Toowoomba Lapidary Club and learn how to cut it for yourself.
We are hobbyists; we are not professional cutters. If we take on a job of cutting for the public and it is not cut as expected, we could expose ourselves to liability problems, which we are not prepared to do.
